Land Management Practice (Cropping History) in the Central West-Lachlan CMA regions (winter 2008 - summer 2009)

Land Management Practices (including cropping history) in the Central West and Lachlan Catchment Management Authority (CMA) areas for the period Winter 2008 - Summer 2009). This dataset consists of a GIS base layer of paddock scale objects attributed with various landcover/land management types including cropping history for two epochs, Winter 2008 and summer 2009.; ; REPORT: Fisher, A, Turner & Mirbagheri, M. (2009). Mapping candidate native non-woody extent and condition in the Central West-Lachlan CMA regions (winter 2008 - summer 2009). Draft report, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water.; ; Data stored as 16 separate map tiles, based on 1:250K map series (NSW). Due to large storage size, data are supplied as three separate "zones" within the Central West/Lachlan CMAs:; Zone West includes Booligal, Cargelligo, Cootamundra, Cobar, Hay, Ivanhoe, Narrandera & Nymagee map tiles.; Zone Central includes Forbes, Narromine, Nyngan & Walgett; Zone East includes Bathurst, Dubbo, Gilgandra, Goulburn, Narrabri, Singleton, Sydney & Tamworth.; ; The mapping process involved three main steps: 1) segmentation of Spot5 2.5m resolution imagery into paddock scales objects using 'Definiens' software; 2) attributing the polygons with data derived from landsat raster data, and; 3) classifying the polygons into landcover categories based on the attribute data.
