Abstract |
The Vegetation of Copperhania NR is described and mapped at a sclae of 1:50,000 based on field survey quadrats, aerial photograph interpretation and multivariate analysis. Copperhania NR supports woodland and forest communities on Ordovician and Silurian sediment as well as a small area of woodland on Devonian granite. Eight Vegetation communities were identified. Lineage |
Aerial photograph interpretation was undertaken useing colour photos at a scale of 1:50,000. Digital vegetation map was created based on the patterns of vegetation structure and canopy seperation. Field survey sites and commuity types resulting from interpretation of PATN analysis were incorporated to produce a final map. |
