Abstract |
Vegetation community mapping for South West Woodland Nature Reserve - Killonbutta Section by John Hunter, 2017. A Northern Inland NPWS Branch contract. Mapped at 1:25000 scale. Four Plant Community Types are defined based on similarity classification (SIMPER) of 49 full floristic and rapid assessment sites. These four communities were mapped based on ground truthing, satellite image analysis and landform. VIS_ID 4765 |

Lineage |
Previous vegetation studies were reviewed and floristic site data obtained. The study area was stratified using landscape features and sampled accordingly. Dominant diagnostic species were used to allocate sites to Plant Community Types (PCTs). Also SIMPER analysis was used to identify the species driving differences between selected groups. Site locations, ADS40 imagery and topographical information were used to delineate the boundaries between PCTs. |
