Abstract |
This project was carried out by National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) Southern CRA Unit for the Riverina Highlands Regional Vegetation Management Committee (RVMC). Two areas within the Riverina Highlands Regional Vegetation Management Area were outside the CRA boundary, so it was requested that the CRA vegetation mapping be extended to incorporate those blocks. This dataset is an extension of the vegetation mapping using CRA methodology in two areas west of the original CRA boundary to match the Riverina Highlands Regional Vegetation Management Area boundary. Aerial photographs were collected from DLWC, Albury and Wagga Wagga offices. Field work was undertaken in December 1999 following Southern CRAFTI standards (DUAP 2000). Aerial photograph interpretation was undertaken following Southern CRAFTI standards (DUAP 2000). Due to time constraints the area between the Hume Highway and the Murrumbidgee River from Jugiong and Gundagai was not field validated. Data capture followed the methodology as set out in the Southern CRAFTI Remnant Mapping Project Report for the Tumut and Tarcutta 1:100000 Mapsheets (Maguire and Hunter 2000). |
