Melaleuca biconvexa mapping for the Central Coast - VIS_ID 4474

Map of the local occurrence of Melaleuca biconvexa (Bioconvex Paperbark) a vulnerable plant species under the NSW TSC Act . In total, 494 ha of habitat occupied by Melaleuca biconvexa has been mapped for the Central Coast (former Wyong & Gosford LGAs). This compares favourably with previous estimates of 372 ha calculated for the former Wyong LGA, and >400 ha for the combined Central Coast Council LGA. A further area of perhaps 50 ha may also be present in the Wyee-Mandalong-Cooranbong area of Lake Macquarie based on existing records, but this is yet to be mapped in detail. In total, the Central Coast (including Lake Macquarie LGA) currently supports approximately 540 ha of occupied habitat for Melaleuca biconvexa. Mapping (GIS files) for the Central Coast component of its range has been provided as an output of this project. VIS_ID 4474
