Greater Sydney South Predictive Habitat Mapping

Habitat maps (presence-absence models, presence-only models or habitat maps derived directly from vegetation mapping) were developed using ArcView for fauna of conservation concern and priority pest species. This included threatened (Threatened Species Conservation Act), declining and culturally significant species as well as introduced fauna. These have been widely reviewed by fauna experts, naturalists, academics and land managers in the area. These maps should be viewed in conjunction with Volumes 1 and 2 of the report series for this project.

Study Area extends from Wollongong LGA in the south east, west to Blue Mountains and Kanangra-Boyd NPs, and includes the Warragamba, Woronora and Blue Mountains Special Areas, plus parts of the southern Cumberland Plain

File names for each grid are the common name for each species (as per the Atlas of NSW Wildlife), abbreviated if necessary to 13 characters.
