Land management within capability monitoring MER 2008: final result map

This ESRI shapefile with attribute table comprises final results for the Land Management within Capability (LMwC) theme from the 2008-2009 NSW Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting program. The LMwC evaluation system provides an indication the extent to which land is being managed within its capability by comparing the land & soil capability (LSC) ratings for each site with a measure of the potential impact of land management actions. It considers eight different land management hazards including sheet erosion, gully erosion, wind erosion, acidification, organic carbon decline, structural decline, salinity/waterlogging and acid sulfate soils. The shapefile gives results for 95 Soil Monitoring Units (SMUs) including (i) the overall LMwC index, (ii) the worst rated hazard and its index, and (iii) the worst rated hazard which is rated poor or worse and therefore of concern. Full results are presented and discussed in the Technical Report: OEH (2014), Soil condition and land management in NSW: final results from the 2008-09 monitoring evaluation and reporting program, http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/research-and-publications/publications-search/soil-condition-and-land-management-in-new-south-wales
